- Do You Actually Need 12,000 lbs? — Cover GVWR examples: F-250 (~10,000 lbs GVWR), RAM 2500 (~10,500 lbs), Express 3500 van (~11,000 lbs). Size lift to 125% of GVWR.
- Ceiling Height — Most 12K 2-post lifts need 11.5–12.5 ft. Clearfloor models work from 10.5 ft.
- Concrete Slab — Minimum 4 inches at 3,000 PSI; anchor bolt torque is especially critical at this capacity.
- 2-Post vs. 4-Post at 12,000 lbs — 2-post for full undercarriage access; 4-post for extended storage. Check arm reach and width for trucks/vans.
